During the time of preparing for the SSD (Service Selection Board), She was fortunate enough to receive continuous guidance from the late Captain Kafka. His invaluable mentorship helped her navigate through the process smoothly, ensuring that she didn’t encounter many difficulties. With his support, she managed to clear the SSD and successfully join the training. Coming from a state board background, where sports competitions were limited, she realized the significance of matching the pace with others in terms of physical endurance and academic performance. Although she had played badminton casually and had some experience in cricket, she understood that this would be a new challenge altogether. One of the major challenges she faced was the absence of NCC or parade during her school days, which meant she had never participated in a parade before. However, her unwavering passion for serving and wearing the uniform pushed her forward. Despite these obstacles, she was thrilled to be a part of the Republic Day Parade in 2015, where not only did she get to showcase her skills but also have the honor of being witnessed by influential personalities like the US President Barack Obama and Narendra Modi. Sharing this achievement brings her immense joy. The reaction of her parents upon seeing her in the Airforce uniform was priceless. They were incredibly proud and elated, as they had already sensed her inclination towards serving the nation and knew how dedicated she had been towards achieving this goal.
