This Refund & Cancellation Policy governs all participation-related processes, editorial engagements, and long-form documentation projects undertaken through this platform.
By confirming participation, making a contribution, or entering into any editorial engagement, you acknowledge and agree to the terms outlined below.
5.1 General Policy Statement
All contributions, considerations, or charges associated with participation and editorial processes on this platform are non-reversible by default, unless explicitly stated otherwise in this policy.
This policy exists to account for advance planning, editorial preparation, administrative effort, and resource allocation undertaken by the platform.
5.2 Participation & Editorial Processes
Non-Reversibility as a General Rule
Once a participation-related contribution has been completed and confirmed, it is considered final and non-reversible.
This applies irrespective of:
- Personal scheduling conflicts
- Change of mind by the participant
- Non-attendance or unavailability
- Delays caused by external circumstances
- Disagreement with editorial direction
- Postponement or rescheduling of sessions
Sole Exception — Platform-Initiated Cancellation
A full reversal of the participation-related contribution will be considered only if all of the following conditions are met:
- The engagement is cancelled by the platform’s internal community, editorial board, or management
- The cancellation occurs after confirmation
- The cancellation takes place before the engagement, session, or participation is executed
This is the only circumstance under which a reversal may be initiated.
Processing of Reversals
Where a reversal is approved:
- The amount will be processed back to the original method of payment
- Processing time may take 7 to 14 working days
- No interest, penalty, or additional compensation is payable
- The platform’s decision regarding eligibility is final and binding
No Other Reversal Scenarios
Reversals will not be issued for any reason other than the platform-initiated cancellation described above.
Requests outside this scope will not be entertained.
5.3 Memoir / Autobiographical Projects
Nature of Memoir Engagements
Memoir and autobiographical projects are customized, effort-intensive editorial engagements that involve planning, research, structured interactions, and narrative development.
Non-Reversibility After Commencement
- Once work on a memoir or autobiographical project has commenced, the professional consideration is strictly non-reversible
- Commencement includes, but is not limited to:
- Editorial planning
- Interviews or material collection
- Drafting or structuring of content
- Allocation of editorial or project resources
Termination by Participant
- Termination, withdrawal, or discontinuation initiated by the participant does not entitle the participant to any reversal or refund
- Partial completion or non-completion does not alter non-reversibility
Discretionary Exceptions
Any exception, if considered at all, shall be:
- At the sole discretion of the platform
- Evaluated on a case-by-case basis
- Non-precedent setting
The platform is under no obligation to provide exceptions.
5.4 Taxes & Statutory Charges
- Any applicable taxes, including GST where relevant, are governed by statutory regulations
- Reversals, if applicable, will reflect taxes as per legal requirements
5.5 Policy Finality
This Refund & Cancellation Policy:
- Overrides all verbal discussions or informal communications
- Applies uniformly to all users and participants
- Is binding upon confirmation of participation or engagement
