She has played a pivotal role in the operational management and digital transformation of India’s GST ecosystem through GSTN, one of the world’s largest digital taxation infrastructures.
An engineer, CMA, public policy expert from IIM Bangalore, and PhD scholar in GST administration, she has worked extensively on GST implementation, tax analytics, compliance systems, taxpayer services, grievance redressal, and governance modernization.
Currently serving as Joint Commissioner of State Tax (GST Appeals), Maharashtra, she continues to contribute toward transparent, technology-driven, and fair public administration.

Her work reflects decades of dedication toward creating governance systems that are efficient, transparent, scalable, and citizen-centric.
As India entered the GST era, Sanjali Dias became deeply involved in operational governance, compliance systems, tax analytics, and large-scale digital transformation initiatives. During her tenure at GSTN as Senior Vice President, she contributed toward managing systems supporting over 14 million taxpayers across the country, helping bridge technology and governance at national scale.
